Growing Divers Program

Children grow fast. Their passion for the ocean grows even faster. At Dive Cypria, we believe young divers deserve scuba equipment that fits properly, feels comfortable, and allows them to explore the underwater world safely and confidently; without families needing to completely replace expensive gear every season.

That’s why we created the Growing Divers Program. A family-focused initiative designed to help parents manage the reality of fast-growing children while keeping diving safe, accessible, and enjoyable.

What Is the Growing Divers Program?

The Growing Divers Program is Dive Cypria’s junior scuba gear trade-in initiative. When you purchase eligible youth scuba equipment through Dive Cypria, your child may later trade in outgrown equipment for exchange credit toward the next size.*

This allows families to:

• reduce long-term equipment costs
• avoid poor-fitting gear
• access quality pre-loved equipment
• and continue supporting their child’s diving journey comfortably and safely

Because diving should grow with your child — not against your budget.

Why Properly Fitting Dive Gear Matters

Children are not simply “small adults.” A wetsuit that is too loose can make a child cold and uncomfortable. Fins that do not fit properly may cause blisters or frustration.
Oversized BCDs can affect buoyancy, trim, confidence, and overall comfort underwater. For young divers, properly fitting equipment improves:

warmth

buoyancy control

confidence

comfort

and enjoyment underwater

Especially during training and early dive experiences.

Built Around Real Family Needs

We understand the challenge: children can outgrow equipment surprisingly quickly. Many parents hesitate to invest in quality dive gear knowing their child may need the next size within a season or two. The Growing Divers Program was created to remove that stress while helping more families continue diving together. Instead of equipment sitting unused in storage, it can continue its journey with another young diver. 

Our Junior Equipment

Dive Cypria proudly works with premium scuba brands including SEAC and uses SEAC junior equipment within many of our youth programs and product showcases.

We chose SEAC because of: comfort-focused designs, excellent sizing options, reliable quality, durable construction, and child-friendly ergonomics

At the same time, we also stock and work with a variety of other trusted scuba brands depending on: fit, sizing availability, comfort, and individual diver needs

Because no two young divers are the same.

Our goal is not simply to sell equipment — but to help each child feel confident, safe, and excited in the water.

How the Program Works

Step 1 — Purchase Eligible Junior Gear

Families purchase eligible youth scuba equipment through Dive Cypria.

Eligible items may include:

• wetsuits
• boots
• fins
• masks
• snorkels
• BCDs

Step 2 — Dive, Explore & Grow

Your child uses their equipment throughout their underwater adventures, training sessions, and family dives.

Step 3 — Trade Up When They Outgrow It

When the equipment no longer fits properly, eligible items may receive exchange credit toward the next size, subject to inspection and condition.

Returned items are then:

• inspected
• professionally cleaned
• safety checked

and added to our certified pre-loved junior equipment collection where suitable. This helps future young divers access quality equipment more affordably and sustainably.

Certified Pre-Loved Junior Gear

Finding safe and reliable second-hand scuba equipment for children can be difficult. That’s why all qualifying trade-in equipment goes through inspection before being offered as part of our pre-loved junior collection. This allows families to access:

• trusted equipment
• better value
• proper sizing support
• and local in-person guidance, without relying on uncertain online marketplace purchases.

More Than Equipment

The Growing Divers Program reflects something deeper about how we see diving. We believe scuba diving should be:

Not disposable experiences. Not “one holiday and done.”

But lifelong adventures that children can grow into safely and confidently over time.

Important Information

Exchange credit is based on condition, age, and suitability of returned equipment

Only eligible equipment originally purchased through Dive Cypria may qualify

Equipment must pass safety and hygiene inspection

Exchange values are provided as store credit toward replacement equipment

Some equipment categories may be excluded for hygiene or safety reasons
